The 2027 ban — what it means for you

The law handles access. We handle resilience.

What the ban covers

From 2027, under-16s won't be able to hold accounts on the big social platforms — Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X. Enforcement falls on the platforms, not your child.

What it doesn't

Messaging, gaming, livestreaming and AI chatbots — where a lot of the real risk lives — aren't covered. The ban doesn't start until 2027, workarounds already exist, and there are still lots of questions. The skill of parenting this doesn't go away.

A ban controls access. Life long critical thinking and resilience on tech is the skill your child needs whether or not they have an account - especially on the day they turn 16 and everything opens at once. That's what we help you build, fortnight by fortnight.
